Start public car park on Poverty Lane, Maghull. Postcode is L31 3DU, W3W: chain.endearing.frail
A nice stroll along paths and lanes as you explore around Maghull and beyond. This walk will take you past two train stations, including the one crowned Best Railway Station in Britain for 2024! We'll pass through Mossock Hall Golf Club, Simonswood, and Melling before winding our way back along the Leeds Liverpool canal. With possibly a coffee stop at the second train station
Note: Toilets/stops are scarce along the route, except for the Bootle Arms at Melling (8 miles), or the train stations at around the 1 mile and 10.5-mile mark (subject to being open). If you need to make a pit stop before we start, you can find motorway services at Junction 1 of the M58 on your journey to the start.
Some paths maybe very wet and muddy; boots advisable.

Please give thought to the clothing and footwear necessary for adverse weather or ground conditions, and carry enough water and food for the day.
The leader will not see comments on Meetup, please contact Noreen Martin Tel: 07917 341148
