13 mile Walk - Rainford Ramble

Meeting and park at free c.p, Orrell water park (closes 5pm), Lodge Road, Orrell, WN5 7AT. W3W///unwraps.colleague.greyhound. This is about a quarter of a mile from Orrell train station
Taking in Orrell water park, Billinge Hill, Carr Mill Dam, Moss bank, Berringtons lane, Rainford linear path, & return via Longwood lane & the Promised land. Walking along mainly good paths but of course at this time of year there maybe some glorious mud
Please give thought to the clothing and footwear necessary for adverse weather or ground conditions, and carry enough water and food for the day.
