This is a trip to Margate to visit the Turner Contemporary to see an exhibition dedicated to pioneering artist Ed Clark (1926-2019). Clark was a member of the New York School of Abstraction. The exhibition will unite paintings and works on paper from the 1940s to 2000s, including loans from The Art Institute of Chicago, Brooklyn Museum and Detroit Institute of Arts, many of which have not been seen outside the USA. We will travel from Stratford International to Margate. I will post details of train times closer to the date.

For the pub lunch I propose the local Weatherspoons, the Mechanical Elephant. We may, of course, see somewhere else on the day.
