Route 6 Commuter Lot to Case Pond Lot via Charter Oak Greenway

We will meet at the commuter lot ("park and ride" on rt 6/44,) at 6pm and take the Charter Oak Greenway to the Case Pond Lot on Birch Mountain Road in Manchester, and return. This is an all paved trail, very slightly downhill going out, slightly uphill coming back. About 4 miles round trip, taking about 2.25 hours. . Sunset is at 8:05, so lack of daylight should not be a problem, although a headlamp or flashlight is recommended in case we case delayed. Please bring water and an optional snack, bug repellent, and wear hiking boots or sturdy sneakers.

Rain or excessive heat (air temp over 90 or dew point over 70) cancels.
