Valley Falls to Bolton Notch, with Optional Hike to Cliffs.

We will meet at the Valley Falls parking lot at 10:45am and leave promptly at 11 am. After a short climb to the rail trail, we will head south on the flat rail trail to the Bolton Notch parking lot and return. Total distance about 4 miles. This is rated easy to intermediate. Hiking boots recommended. This part of the hike will run about 2 hours. Our Pace is 2-2.5 mph.

For those who want more challenge and distance, there will be an optional addendum to this hike in which we take the yellow-blue trail up to the cliffs on the west side of the rail trail for impressive views of the foliage and points east. For this, hiking boots and poles are highly recommended. This will add another 60-75 minutes to the hike and another 1.5-2 miles, and is of intermediate difficulty with steep sections and moderate elevation increase.

Everyone will be required to sign a liability waiver at the starting point before the hike begins.
