Devil's Hopyard State Park
Details
Devil's Hopyard is a Connecticut State Park in East Haddam. It has an extensive trail system that has numerous moderate ups and downs over somewhat rugged terrain, as well as Chapman Falls, a 60 foot waterfall that is one of the highlights of the park. We will hike the red and orange trails, totalling about 6.5 miles. The elevation increase is about 800 feet. Overall this hike has average difficulty. Our pace is 2-2.25 mph.
Please wear appropriate footwear (i.e. hiking boots) and clothing, hiking poles, snacks, bug repellant, and at least one quart of water per person.
