Do’s and Don’ts of Pickleball
• Do: Wear proper footwear to prevent injuries and ensure a good grip on the court.
• Do: Warm up before playing to avoid strains and improve your performance on the court.
• Do: Communicate with your partner during doubles play to coordinate movements and avoid collisions.
• Do: Respect court etiquette by waiting your turn and being mindful of others’ games.
• Do: Stay hydrated and take breaks as needed, especially during warm or sunny days.
• Do: Have fun and encourage fellow players, especially those who might be new to the game.
• Don’t: Slam the ball aggressively at beginners or players who may not be ready for fast play.
• Don’t: Step into the non-volley zone (kitchen) to hit a volley; this is against the rules!
• Don’t: Hog the court if others are waiting. Rotate games and give everyone a chance to play.
• Don’t: Forget to return the balls to neighboring courts if they roll onto yours.
• Don’t: Let competitiveness undermine the spirit of enjoyment and camaraderie.
