Indian Boundary Recreation Area 5K/10K Walk w/ETW, Mon., June 2nd, 9:00/10:00am

What: Join the East Tennessee Wanderers for a 5K/10K walk around the Indian Boundary Lake. (10K will be 2 loops.) This is an easy wooded walk on natural trails. We will also plan to have an optional lunch at a local restaurant following our walk for those who are interested.

When: Monday, June 2nd, at 9:00am (10K) and 10:00am (5K). Please arrive 15 minutes prior to departure to register.

Where: We will meet in the beach parking lot. GPS enter "Indian Boundary Lake Parking", Forest Srv Rd, Tellico Plains. Follow the signs to the campground and then continue following signs to the beach area. There are restrooms near the parking area. There is a $3 parking fee per vehicle.

Directions: From Interstate 75 - take Exit 60, turn south on TN 68 for approximately 30 miles. In Tellico Plains, turn left on TN 165 (Cherohala Skyway) for approximately 17 miles. Turn left onto FR 345. Follow signs in to Indian Boundary Recreation Area. Follow signs to Beach Parking.

Walk Details: The walk is a scenic walk around the Indian Boundary Lake. The 5K walk will have less than 100 ft of total elevation and rated a 1C, The 10K will complete 2 loops around the lake.

Registration: This is an American Volksport Association (AVA) sanctioned club walk sponsored by the East Tennessee Wanderers and we have a modest $3.00 fee per walker to cover sanctioning fees and insurance costs payable to the walk leaders when you arrive.

Pets are allowed on the walk on a leash.
