Pyeatt Draw (moderate)

We'll meet at the Maverick in Payson at 8 AM then travel up to the Houston Mesa Road turn off. Turn right (east) here and travel 4.8 miles to Pyeatt Draw Road (FR-198) which is a right turn off of Houston Mesa Road. The trailhead is located another 4.5 miles east on Pyeatt Draw Road (FR-198).

If you decide to camp or stay near the actual trail start point please let me know so we can look for you prior to starting the trail run. As always CB on channel 4.

We'll tackle the whole trail which has plenty of obstacles for built rigs and bypasses for Jeeps just coming of age. This is a great opportunity to learn and build confidence, and we will take our time with spotting and encouragement along the way. The last obstacle, The Filter, requires winching so we can take a break there and watch the show and perhaps a few will try it. Return will be via the parallel road from waypoint 6.

Please read the write up on Trailsoffroad and see if this run is right for you. Feel free to reach out if you have questions.
