What we’re about
Welcome!
This is a ladies-only social group for the 30+ crowd who are looking to build lasting friendships in the the greater East Wake/Johnston County area.
We will have dinners, brunch, book club, wine nights, movies, theater, hikes, weekend trips, etc… Have an idea? Suggest it! If you're excited about it, chances are others will be too.
This group is about more than making plans, it's about showing up for each other and making meaningful connections. That's why we have an attendance policy to help keep things respectful and fun for all.
Here's what that means:
- If you RSVP "Yes," we're counting on you to be there - both for logistics and because we'll miss you.
- Please avoid last-minute cancellations (within 24 hours of the event) unless it's truly unavoidable. Last minute cancellations will be considered a no-show.
- If you're on the waitlist and know you can't make it, please update your RSVP accordingly so someone else can take your spot.
- Members who no-show three times may be removed from the group, simply to keep things fair for everyone putting in the effort to show up.
We're here to build a community of women friendships, one Meetup at a time. Hope to see you at an event soon!

Let's View the Charles Schulz Exhibit
Dunn Center, 3400 N. Wesleyan Blvd, Rocky Mount, nc, USOctober 2, 2025, was the 75th anniversary of Peanuts, so let's go see an exhibit in Rocky Mount about the timeless comic strip that gave us Snoopy, Charlie Brown, and a cast of characters who captured the human spirit with humor and heart.
“The Life and Art of Charles M. Schulz”, a traveling exhibition hosted at the Mims and Gravely Galleries, offers a rare glimpse into Schulz’s personal journey—from his Minnesota roots to his artistic legacy in California. Featuring original Peanuts comic strips, personal quotes, and photographs, the exhibit explores Schulz’s unique ability to turn everyday moments into profound reflections on friendship, vulnerability, and resilience. This exhibit is more than nostalgia—it’s a platform for discussion. As USA Today notes, Peanuts remains “refreshing” in a media landscape often dominated by fleeting trends. Schulz’s minimalist style and emotional honesty continue to inspire artists, writers, and thinkers across generations. [As Peanuts…USA TODAY]"
Admission is just $5 [Ticket Link](As the world celebrates the 75th anniversary of Peanuts on Oct. 2, 2025, the timeless comic strip that gave us Snoopy, Charlie Brown, and a cast of characters who captured the human spirit with humor and heart, North Carolina Wesleyan University is bringing the celebration home with a powerful tribute to the man behind the magic: Charles M. Schulz. In a recent USA Today and People Magazine article, Jeannie Schulz, widow of Charles Schulz, reflected on the enduring legacy of Peanuts and its surprising resonance with Gen Z. From tattooed 20-somethings to wide-eyed toddlers, fans continue to flock to the Schulz Museum in Santa Rosa, California, drawn by the emotional depth and relatability of Schulz’s work. "Our Salt Cave is a whole-body wellness experience available in the Triangle only at Skin Sense. Pass through the solid wood, handmade door that protects our cave and enter a sanctuary bathed in thousands of shades of pink emanating from hundreds of enormous blocks of Himalayan Salt. Tread gently across the crushed salt floor and settle into a zero-gravity chair, lean back, relax, and breath. The cave air is saturated in the purest salt on earth. Infused with dozens of minerals your lungs and skin eagerly absorbs the nutrients your body craves. The salt aids your body to draw out impurities and toxins, leaving you better balanced."
### Can I talk in the cave?
Once the session has started, the cave becomes a quiet zone with no talking.
### Can I take food or drinks in the cave?
No. This is not permitted but after your session we do have refreshments available.
### Can I bring my phone?
Phones are not allowed in the salt cave. The Salt Cave neutralizes the positive ions that we pick up from everyday electronic devices like cell phones, tablets, computers, etc. It stabilizes mood, decreases stress and prepares the body for ultimate healing. Bringing your electronics to the salt cave, it counteracts those benefits. We will provide a locker for you to store your phone and other personal belongings.
### What should I wear in a salt cave?
Loose, comfortable clothing. Please bring a pair of clean socks to wear into the cave.
Afterwards, we can go to Salt & Lime for brunch. Salt & Lime2 attendees
