Let's take a walking tour about the incredible women who have influenced the City of Oaks over the years! We will meet at 1:45pm, so we can find each other and chat before the tour.

This tour is pay-what-you-want ! If you enjoy the tour, please compensate your guide appropriately! CASH ONLY please! Usually, the guide receives $15 to $20 per adult.

"This tour was created to highlight the incredible women who helped make Raleigh the fabulous city that it is today! On this tour, you will learn about several amazing women, including the city's first female mayor, the woman who is considered by many to be the mother of black feminism, and the woman who earned the nickname "Lady Edison" because of her numerous inventions!"

Our meeting spot is at Exchange Place, which is next to the Poyner YMCA at 227 Fayetteville St.

There will not be any restroom breaks or stops for food/drinks.

Parking: Street parking or at one of the nearby parking garages

Remember that the group requires at least 24 hours notice if you cannot attend the event. Please note that this is a pet-free event.
