What we’re about
Welcome!
This is a ladies-only social group for the 30+ crowd who are looking to build lasting friendships in the the greater East Wake/Johnston County area.
We will have dinners, brunch, book club, wine nights, movies, theater, hikes, weekend trips, etc… Have an idea? Suggest it! If you're excited about it, chances are others will be too.
This group is about more than making plans, it's about showing up for each other and making meaningful connections. That's why we have an attendance policy to help keep things respectful and fun for all.
Here's what that means:
- If you RSVP "Yes," we're counting on you to be there - both for logistics and because we'll miss you.
- Please avoid last-minute cancellations (within 24 hours of the event) unless it's truly unavoidable. Last minute cancellations will be considered a no-show.
- If you're on the waitlist and know you can't make it, please update your RSVP accordingly so someone else can take your spot.
- Members who no-show three times may be removed from the group, simply to keep things fair for everyone putting in the effort to show up.
We're here to build a community of women friendships, one Meetup at a time. Hope to see you at an event soon!
Upcoming events (4+)
See all- Let's Go Behind the Scenes at the NC Natural Science MuseumNorth Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences , Raleigh, NC
Let's take a fast-paced and engaging tour of the NCMNS. These tours are offered a few times of year.
"Experience the Museum’s exhibits like an insider. You’ll hear untold stories only Museum staff know (what’s buried under the floor in the dino exhibit?). Discover hidden details among the dioramas, like a portrait of a cat painted into a mural. You’ll never see a science museum the same way again.
The Walking portion of the tour lasts 2 hours. The tour ends in the Daily Planet Café where you can grab a beverage (included) and socialize with your guide and new best friends."
Meeting Spot: We will meet at the information desk at the science museum. (Make sure to come to the Natural Science Museum and not the Research Center, where the globe is) I will be there by 1:45pm
Parking: Street parking or the State lot which is free on the weekends at Wilmington and Jones.
Give yourself plenty of time to find parking, and walk to the museum as the tour starts at 2 pm.
Remember an RSVP on Meetup does not secure your ticket to this event as you must Register and Pay for that yourself with the Museum.
Museum Members are $20 (remember to sign in first for the discount)
Non-Members are $25

- Let's See Community TheatreNorth Raleigh Arts & Creative Theatre, Raleigh, NC
Let's See a Community Theatre show at NRACT. Once Upon A Mattress is the performance. "Many moons ago in a far-off place, Queen Aggravain decreed no couples could marry until her son, Prince Dauntless, found a bride. Princesses came from far and wide to win the hand of the prince, but none could pass the impossible tests given to them by the Queen. That is, until the “shy” swamp princess, Winnifred the Woebegone, showed up. Would she be able to pass the Sensitivity Test, marry her prince, and help Lady Larken and Sir Harry to the altar? Carried on a wave of wonderful songs, by turns hilarious and raucous, romantic and melodic, this rollicking spin on the classic tale The Princess and the Pea provides some side-splitting shenanigans. For after all, a princess is a delicate thing."
Tickets are $23.31 for seniors, teachers and military or $25.17 for adults.
The seating is stadium style with Row A floor level. Aisle seats are 6&7
I am in B1. Sit where you prefer and we can chat before the show and in the lobby at the intermission. Ticket LinkIf interest, we can get lunch before the performance or ice cream afterwards.
