Sketching @ Bancroft Community Garden in August

Happy August! Let's meet in person for some social-distance sketching at the Bancroft Community Garden in Berkeley.

• Cathy R. is the host for this meetup session.
• Meet at the entry gate of the garden. The gate may be shut but the padlock won't be locked, so if you arrive late, just come on in.

This is a hidden natural gem in the center of the East Bay. A big long garden, it has every crop you can think of: 12' tall corn, pumpkins, rhubarb, apple and dog trees. Quite a little Eden!
And bonus: dogs are welcome if on leash.

                    IMPORTANT: please agree to follow all the pandemic safety measures:
• Wear a mask; mask should cover mouth and nose whenever within 10' of others not in your bubble.
• Practice social distancing.
• If you have been exposed or are experiencing any symptoms, please don't come to the meetup. Stay home and take care of yourself. :)

At the meetup:

• We'll meet at 11:00 and maybe kick off with a group warm-up activity, then spread out and sketch some cool stuff.

• At 2:30 pm we'll meet at an agreed-on place for group gallery and feedback.
ALERT: We must maintain social distancing during the group gallery; if you're concerned about gathering, you can post your work on the meetup site and we can celebrate it there.

• Feel free to stay after and sketch more. ;)

Materials: Bring your own materials: pencils, paper, paints, pens.

Highly recommended: stool or chair, hat, sunscreen, a snack and water. If the weather is iffy, bring rain gear/umbrella/windbreaker, etc.!

Transit:

• NO Bathrooms available.

• Parking is on the street, so you may need to park and walk for a bit.

• If you're interested in carpooling, post a message here and we'll coordinate rides to make getting there easier.
