Weekday Walk: BoPeep-Firle Circular (c.6 miles)

A new route for us! This triangular walk starts from BoPeep carpark at the top of BoPeep Lane We head steadily downhill towards the outskirts of Newhaven then steadily uphill to the carpark above Firle. From there we follow the South Downs Way eastwards back to BoPeep.

The route is quite hilly (c.700ft ascent/descent) but the hills are long rather than steep. The views looking out to sea over Newhaven and inland from the South Downs ridge are glorious.

There are no coffee stops en route so please bring a drink, snack & sitmat for a short picnic break on the grass.

Dogs are welcome, on leads around livestock, and I walk with a friendly hound called Josie.
