WEEKDAY WALK: EAST DEAN CIRCULAR VIA FRISTON (4.7 MILES)

Hi all. This walk is a lovely route from East Dean, up to Friston, across the Downs, returning along a peaceful valley, all with beautiful, far-reaching views (and some rather posh houses). It is 4.7 miles, one brisk hill up at the start then level or downhill the rest of the way.

There are no coffee stops en route and nowhere easy to sit but you may wish to pack a drink and sit-mat for a quick banana-break. We end at the Hikers Rest in East Dean for a leisurely coffee/lunchbreak for anyone who can stay after the walk.

Well-behaved dogs are welcome. There are no stiles but we may encounter sheep.

Meet at 1030 in East Dean village outside the Hikers Rest, BN20 0DR. Free parking.
