WEEKDAY WALK: EAST DEAN-BIRLING GAP CIRCULAR

Hi all.

My next mid-week walk is a circular from East Dean via Birling Gap, an easy-to-moderate 4.5 miles.

This is a sociable walk with a coffee stop at Birling Gap and finishing with drinks & snacks at the Hikers Rest in East Dean for anyone who can stay a while.

Well-behaved dogs are welcome and I walk with a friendly dog called Josie.

Meet at 1030 in East Dean village outside the Hikers Rest, BN20 0DR. Please arrive 10 mins early to be booted and ready.

Free parking but please note there is often a market in the car park on Wednesday mornings with additional parking in an adjacent field or along the road.

Cautionary note: There is currently a risk of ticks in the grass all along the South Downs. If you don't want to walk in long trousers tucked into your socks, I suggest you apply anti-mossie/deet; the little critters don't like that.
