Weekday Walk: Rushlake Green (4.5m)

A circular walk in the Sussex countryside from the delightful hamlet of Rushlake Green. At 4.5 miles, this walk is shorter than some and is undulating rather than hilly. It is mostly across open countryside with a half mile stretch of road along a quiet lane.

We will take a short banana break sitting on the grass somewhere en route. There's a pub in the village, the Horse and Groom, and we can enjoy a drink and/or light meal in the pub garden at the end of our walk.

Dogs are welcome, on leads around livestock, and I walk with a friendly hound called Josie. I have not yet recce'd this route so cannot give info on stiles etc but we are intrepid walkers and will manage!

We will meet on the green in front of the Horse & Groom where there is free kerbside parking. The village lies south of Heathfield, about 16 miles from the centre of Eastbourne, c.40 mins drive. If anyone does not have satnav and requires more directions, please let me know.
