Midweek Walk: Pevensey Levels (5m)

*** PLEASE NOTE 10AM START TIME ***

A relaxed, mostly flat, circular walk across the Levels. Starting at Pevensey Castle, we follow the 1066 trail along the haven (river) to Rickney, loop back across fields to Chilley Farm before returning to Pevensey.

We will have a coffee stop at Chilley Farm where the cafe serves drinks & snacks.

Dogs are welcome, on leads around livestock, and I walk with a friendly hound called Josie. We are likely to encounter sheep & cows.

We will meet outside the main castle gate at the top of Pevensey High Street, opposite the Royal Oak & Castle pub. There is some free parking & a large carpark charging c. £2.50, proceeds to Pevensey Museum. Alternatively you could park in Westham and walk through the castle grounds (allow +10 mins).
