FRIDAY WALK: EAST DEAN CIRCULAR VIA FRISTON 4.7 MILES

Hi all. This walk is a lovely route from East Dean, up to Friston, across the Downs, returning along a peaceful valley, all with beautiful, far-reaching views (and some rather posh houses). It is 4.7 miles, one brisk hill up at the start then level or downhill the rest of the way.

There are no coffee stops en route and nowhere easy to sit but you may wish to pack a drink and sit-mat for a quick water stop/banana-break. We end at the Hikers Rest in East Dean for a leisurely coffee/lunchbreak for anyone who can stay after the walk.

Well-behaved dogs are welcome and I walk with a friendly hound called Josie. There are no stiles but we may encounter sheep.

Meet in East Dean village outside the Hikers Rest, BN20 0DR. Free parking. Please be booted and ready to leave by 1030.
