GOOD FRIDAY WALK: DOWNS & RIVERBANK (6.5m)

This beautiful walk is a blend of downs, fields and riverbank. At 6.5m it's a little longer than some routes, but much of it is level and the ups & downs are moerate. The views are stunning!!
From Chyngton Lane, Seaford we head north to High & Over then drop down to cross the Cuckmere River. From there we will walk into Litlington for a coffee stop at the Long Man Brewery (Cadence café, card only), returning across fields to the riverbank. We then follow the winding Cuckmere River to Exceat before skirting fields back to Chyngton.
We’ll have a short lunch stop on the riverbank so bring a snack & sitmat.
Dogs are welcome and I walk with a friendly dog called Josie.
The start point is Chyngton Lane North, Satnav BN25 3UU. From Eastbourne, drive over the bridge at Exceat towards Seaford and, after 0.6 miles, take the first right.
Please arrive 10 minutes early to be booted and ready to leave at 1030. If you are unable to come on the day, please call or text me on 07764 677363. If the weather forecast is bad I will either cancel the day before or choose a shorter, alternative walk.
