About us

Are you an introvert who would like to meet some new people, but don't really enjoy loud bars, clubs or big groups?

Then hopefully this group is for you.

The idea is pretty simple – get a few people together, try some different things around Eastbourne and have a good time without all the usual pressure that can come with meeting new people.

You can come on your own. You don't need to know anyone beforehand, and there are no awkward introductions or forced icebreakers.

Things we could do include:

Board games and card games
Teach each other how to play trading card games
Walks around Eastbourne
Going to pubs or having a drink somewhere relaxed
Cinema trips
Coffee and a chat
Trying new cafés, restaurants and venues around Eastbourne
Trying different activities and seeing what everyone enjoys

And you don't have to be chatty all the time.

If you want to have a conversation, great. If you'd rather play a game, watch a film, enjoy your drink or just sit with everyone and not say much, that's completely fine too.

There might be quiet moments. That's OK. They don't need to be awkward.

The idea is to have a relaxed group where everyone can be themselves, meet people at their own pace and hopefully make some new friends along the way.

Whether you're very quiet, fairly chatty or somewhere in between, you're welcome.

The group is mainly aimed at people aged 30–50, but if you're a little outside that range and think you'd enjoy the group, you're very welcome to join.
