Fabian was the original creator of this group it seems, I have recently taken over... and would love to continue the group’s ideas and values... so, apart from changing the age to include our mature late 20’s crowd... Having spent hours trawling the web for social groups in the Mid Eastern burbs, something has become glaringly clear. A local social group for people in their 20’s, 30's and 40's is much needed!
Most of the groups tend to be in the CBD and whilst there is some great stuff happening there, us Eastsider's have loads going for us here in our backyard!!
So here's what I propose. Lets get together, share and explore these hidden suburban secrets, venture out into new territory and you've guesses it, make friends in the process.
So what are we about, really.....?
Community. This meetup group is ultimately about meeting local people who you can do stuff with regularly and with a bit of time and effort become friends. <br>Its about having a place to connect with others and the opportunity to do things together even on school nights. <br> <br>
OK. So far so good. This is what I'm thinking. <br>
We may want to get together mid week for some tasty asian treats in Box Hill, kick back at the local quirky cinema, or even shoot some pool over a beer. <br>Perhaps, a Saturday morning hike in the Dandanongs followed by breakfast in one of its many cafes? <br>How's about exercising regularly with others or if we know the sun's gonna be shining <br>( which is pretty hard to tell in Melbs...) go for a BBQ in the park, off the cuff.
And of course, let's not forget we can hit the town together and check out the many amazing events....
Who's this group for?
Right off the bat. Its not for kids. I love em ( sometimes ) but with so many family meetups out there, you guys are sorted.
This group is for singles and couples in their 20’s, 30's to 40's, who are looking to make friends in and around the mid eastern burbs (Ringwood with a 10-15Km radius). Its for us informal bunch who simply enjoy the company of other down to earth people. No hype. No drama.
You may have been living around here a long time and love meeting new people, you may have just relocated and are new to these parts or you just wanna make friends locally, we would love to meet you.
Also, If you feel you connect with this age group and may be younger/older or live further out but like the sounds of what we're about, then please come along. You are very welcome! <br>
