About us

Have you ever wanted to stand among the mysterious Moai statues, learn about Polynesian culture directly from local people, and look up at one of the clearest night skies on Earth?

Rapa Nui Cultural & Stargazing Expeditions was created to connect curious travellers from Ireland, the UK, and across Europe with the remote and mysterious island of Rapa Nui (Easter Island). This project began with a simple idea: to make it possible for people from this part of the world to travel together to “the edge of the world” and experience one of the most isolated and fascinating places on Earth guided by the Rapa Nui community itself.

As someone who is half Rapa Nui and half Irish I want to share my island’s culture, stories, and way of life with travellers from Europe offering not just a trip but an invitation and cultural bridge between two worlds.

Upcoming Expeditions
We have two expeditions planned:

April 2027

Each expedition is limited to 8–12 participants to keep the experience personal and immersive. This is not mass tourism; it's an opportunity for deep connection, respect, and learning.

What the Expedition Includes
•Staying in locally run accommodation on Rapa Nui
•Guided visits to the iconic Moai archaeological sites inside Rapa Nui National Park
•Stargazing and Polynesian navigation under some of the darkest skies in the world
•Boat and snorkeling experience around volcanic islets
•A hands-on agriculture experience, learning about traditional food and local honey production
•Cultural storytelling, music, and performance
•Sunrise and sunset excursions to the island’s most breathtaking landscapes
•A slow, immersive approach focused on connection, respect, and learning rather than mass tourism
