Our members come from West End, Bulimba, Coorparoo, Manly/Wynnum, Cleveland and other many other South Eastern suburbs. So if you are female and in your 50's and 60's plus age group and looking to make some new daytime friends our Eastern Coffee Time group is the place for you.
The kids are finished school & you're at home most days. Or maybe you work part time, or work from home. Maybe you have "retired", "tree changed" or "sea changed". You might have just moved here or maybe you have lived here for some time and are looking for other women to catch up with every now and then or even weekly.
Eastern Coffee Time has been going strong for four years. With Patricia and others at the helm we continue to provide a warm and welcoming environment to meet and make new friends with like-minded people while doing the things that we girls love - coffee, chatting & solving the problems of the world!
Our Meetups are held weekdays and during school hours - usually brunch/morning tea at 10.30am. We have expanded our events to sometimes include a movie, lunch and an occasional night out. "Us girls" love to celebrate and hold special occasions including: Melbourne Cup; Christmas Party; Annual Meetup Birthday Party; Biggest Breast Cancer Morning Tea, Kiss Goodbye to MS and others.
We look forward to meeting new women and making new friends so come and join us and become part of our fantastic group. ☕️
Patti, Bridget and Sheena
*To help support the Meetup Membership Fees (http://help.meetup.com/customer/portal/articles/902250-does-meetup-cost-money)(around $260 .00 Aus. annually) we ask that you consider making a gold coin donation at one of the Meetups that you attend. It would be very much appreciated. Just pop it into the "jar" provided. Any surplus money left over at the end of the year will go towards a bottle of bubbles or 2 at our Christmas lunch.
*Please don't join if your only reason is to recruit into a party plan style of business or find new clients. We've all been there and done that and don't want to do it again.
***When you join, please remember to add a photo of yourself (not your cat/dog or a flower etc), as it's nice to put a face to a name when we meet for the first time. And please fill in your bio and questions sections... it's good to get to know you a little before we meet - it helps break the ice. We also ask that members change their RSVP to NO if they are unable to attend a Meetup. If a member has three No Shows ( i.e. they reply YES and do not show) or continuous cancellations on the morning of a Meetup, we reserve the right to remove membership without further discussion. It is also our policy not to explain if a member is approved, declined or removed. Many thanks for supporting us in these ways. It makes the organizational side much easier.
