Island camping and boat rides in mangrove forest

Costs: Rs 3600 per person

Take a break from city life and breathe in some fresh air! Near the small town of Repalle, the Krishna river meet the Bay of Bengal. We will take a boat ride and camp for a night at an island in Krishna river Delta. The saline water of sea and fresh water of river creates a unique ecosystem of mangrove forest which we’ll explore during the two days in our boat.

Included

· To and fro train travel from Hyderabad

· Transfers in a private vehicle to and from Repalle railway station

· Boat rides in the mangrove forest during the 2 days

· Camping and bonfire on the island

· All meals (breakfast, lunch, evening tea and dinner) for the 2 days

Day 1

Board train to Repalle at 09:00PM from Kacheguda

Day 2

06:30am : Pickup from railway station

07:00am : Reach our local facility and freshen up

08:00am : Breakfast

09:00am : Transfer in private cab to Krishna river for Boat ride

10:00am : Boat ride till the island

10:30am : Reach the island, put your luggage in tents and relax, talk, enjoy the peace of the place

01:00pm : Lunch

02:00pm : Small team building activity

04:00pm : Tea time

04:30pm : Leave for mangrove forest exploration.

05:00pm : Reach another island. Learn about fixing camera traps. Observe migratory birds.

07:00pm : Night boat ride and reach back our camp site.

07.30pm : A small overview on EGWS and its conservation work in the region

08:00pm : Dinner, followed by bonfire and stargazing. Enjoy your night at this unique and isolated camp site.

Day 3

08:00am : Wake-up call and have Breakfast

09:00am : Start boat ride till road

09:30am : Transfer to another point for next boat ride

11:00am : Boat ride till the watch tower

03:00pm : Climb to the top of watch tower and see the view around.

04:00pm : Start back, boat ride till the road

06:00pm : Reach the road, have some tea

07:00pm : Drop to railway station

08:00pm : Reach railway station, have dinner

09:30pm : Catch train to Hyderabad

General points

1. Delays are expected due to remoteness of the place and weather conditions. Our effort will be to continue with the tour as per the schedule and make you as comfortable as possible.

2. The itinerary should be viewed as ideal and we may have to make some spot changes due to various reasons.

3. Every Participant on the trip will be signing an indemnity bond before the trip starts.

4. Avoid plastics, or any kind of littering whatsoever. Carry back all your litter.

5. Be kind to the ecosystem of these remote places, let’s not pollute the water and surroundings.

6. You may observe some wild animals during the trip. Please keep distance from them, avoid feeding them or altering their natural behavior

7. Please respect the local people and their culture, and wear appropriate clothing.

Drinking and smoking are not allowed during the trip.
