Hear ye hear ye, there be pirates in the shire!! Time for the Renaissance Faire

Have you every been to a Renaissance Faire? Did you go as a kid or hear about the crazy costumes/happenings from the cool kids at school? Or are you an old- time fairgoer who enjoys the energy, people watching and of course, the overpriced food? Maybe you even have your own ren-faire costume/persona. Either way you are ALL welcome to join me on Saturday July 26 at Sky Meadows in Snohomish at this years Washington State Renaissance Faire. The theme of the weekend is PIRATES!!

I’ve been going to various Renaissance Faires since my parents dragged me to my first one as a kid. I was hooked!! I went last year and was pleasantly surprised. This year I expect it to be even better. Also, the rumors that I will be getting a kilt this year are true!!! (If I see one I like).

The plan is simple, everyone who is going is responsible for getting their own ticket online ahead of time : $34 for adults , $30 for over 60. (Don’t wait, they have been known to sell out).

For those of us who want to carpool, we will meet at the Eastgate Park & Ride in Bellevue around 9:15 on that morning, so we can leave by 9:30 to beat the traffic. (The later you go the crazier the traffic gets). Once there, we can join up and decide how to explore the faire. For those who don’t want to carpool, just plan on meeting us at the front gate of the fair around 10:30 so that we may begin our adventure.

Also, for those of you who want to dress up, get your old pirate costume out of storage and join in the fun.
