This course transitions students from the short-form games learned in the Musical Improv - Beginner class into a singular, cohesive long-form narrative format. While the beginner level focuses on basic song structure, rhyming, and rhythm, this class challenges you to use those skills as the foundation for an entire improvised musical show. Over the course of 8 weeks you will learn, practice, and perform the "Holiday" long form musical improv format developed by the instructor William Elder with Off Beat Musical Improv.

Requirements:

  • Musical Improv - Beginner.
  • If you haven't taken the beginner class but feel like you have adequate experience, please contact Eastside Improv.

You will have an opportunity to perform on July 2 during a Student Showcase
