FRIDAY AUGUST 1: Eastside Conscious Ecstatic Dance Funk and R&B Night!!

For this Friday we are switching things up a bit by playing a super fun, soulful, energizing playlist of classic funk and r&b hits. Traditional ecstatic dance music will be played at the second August dance event (August 15th).

Please come as you are. No dance experience required.

Barefoot dancing is encouraged. If you need to wear dancing shoes, please be sure they have non-marking soles.

Date:

• Friday, August 1

Time:

• 7:15 pm doors open
• 7:30 opening circle and dance
• The dance set will be 70-80 minutes in length and then we will have a closing circle.

Location:

• Factoria Area, Bellevue.
• The dance is located inside NW Flamenco Academy, 4000 Factoria Blvd SE, Unit C2, Bellevue, between the AT&T store and a nail salon (the signage on the storefront isn’t immediately obvious, if you've found the AT&T store you are in the right place!).

Cost:

• Sliding scale between $15 and $25 (cash payment preferable)

What the Heck is Ecstatic Dance?
Ecstatic dance offers an unchoreographed form of mindful movement that focuses on freeform dancing in a fun group setting to great music. It is a group activity that promotes authentic self-expression, self-discovery, interpersonal connection, and personal healing. It is a zero-judgment space where everyone is welcome to dance however they feel from moment to moment. Plus, it's super fun and an excellent workout! Come and enjoy the sweaty fun with us!
