Join Eastside Urbanism, Claudia Balducci, and Melissa Stuart in Redmond for an afternoon of campaigning and socializing!
We'll meet at Redmond Middle School around 1 PM, where you'll get trained in doorbelling and paired up with a partner. Snacks and coffee will be provided! Afterwards, join us and the candidates for a social happy hour at Northwest Brewing in Downtown Redmond.
Getting There
- Bus: Take 222 from Downtown Redmond station toward Cottage Lake/Education Hill, and ride 5 stops to 166th Ave NE & NE 100th St. The bus departs at 1:07 and only runs hourly, so be sure to arrive to the station on time!
- Bike: There's an on-street bike lane on 166th Ave NE that runs the whole way from Downtown Redmond to the school. Be advised that it's all up-hill! Lime bikes and scooters are available.
About the Candidates
Claudia Balducci is running to bring her deep policy knowledge and strong track record to the office of King County Executive. Claudia has been a strong advocate for transit and traffic safety, spearheading the revival of the RapidRide K Line between Bellevue and Kirkland, and pushing for the early opening of the Link 2 Line between Redmond and Bellevue while bridge construction is underway. As County Executive, she has pledged to continue expanding and improving transit service, while also working to address the housing shortage by delivering 44,000 affordable homes in the next five years. Melissa Stuart is running to retain her seat on the Redmond City Council. Melissa is a strong advocate for housing access and affordability. She has supported improvements to Redmond's zoning code to increase affordability, and been a strong advocate for permanent supportive housing. A champion for climate sustainability, she co-sponsored legislation to support the Climate Commitment Act, as well as greener waste management practices for multi-family developments here in Redmond.
