S'ed̲av Va'aki Museum is a 1,500-year-old archaeological site and museum. The Ancestral Sonoran Desert People who lived at the site of S'edav Va'aki, and their descendants, the O'Odham, who still live in the area, share knowledge and stories about their homeland. The museum also offers two ADA accessible trails: a 2/3-mile interpretive trail on a prehistoric village site and a 1/2-mile trail focusing on the importance of water. Visitors view a platform mound, ballcourt and irrigation canals. Indoor exhibits feature artifacts from the site and hands-on activities, in addition to growing food in the desert, getting water and the tremendous feat of engineering hundreds of miles of canals. View awe-inspiring artifacts ranging from pottery, tools, jewelry, to baskets. Voted a Phoenix Point of Pride and listed as a National Historic Landmark,
this date also will have the 47TH ANNUAL S'EDAV VA'AKI MUSEUM INDIAN MARKET.
Admission is $10, cultural pass is not accepted for this event.
