Let's Make a Face - Free Clay Face Vase Workshop Tempe Center for the Arts 😜🏺

Ever wanted to try making a face out of clay? Me too! Let's try the Free Face Vase Workshop at the Tempe Center for the Arts.

I'm planning on arriving when the class starts at noon, so we can get seats together. We will then hand-build a sculptural vase with expressive facial features. We'll learn simple sculpting and carving techniques to create a vessel that feels alive—perfect as a planter, centerpiece, or decorative accent in your home. It takes about 45 mins to an hour to complete your project. According to the Tempe Center for the Arts, you should be able to pick up your vase the same day you make it (air dry clay).

Let's plan to meet out front in front of the main lobby at 11:45 am, so we can walk in together. This class will take place in the Gallery (right of the wooden desk in the lobby).

With regards to parking, there is a parking garage that is located north of Rio Salado Parkway at Hardy Drive. As this is an event taking place in the gallery, you will bring your parking ticket to the lobby to be validated for this event.
