Set up your Salsa fundamentals in our Level 1 class. Let’s consider the dance as building blocks of increasing complexity. In our Salsa Level I series, we will cover everything needed to give you a good foundation that you can build on, and take your first steps on a social dance floor.
You will learn and practice skills that will set up your fundamentals to prepare you for a night of social dancing and receive the tools to progress into our next level of classes, and to have fun on a social dance floor.
What you will learn:

• Basics of the music
• Timing
• Frame
• Hand Connection
• Open Connection
• Cross body leading
• Right and Left Turns

No experience needed. No partner necessary, of course. We rotate partners throughout the class.

This class builds on what you have learned in Level 1. All students will have to demonstrate the fundamentals from Level 1 to join Level 2. Some of the things you will learn are

• Smoothly changing connections
• NY Prep for spins
• Solo moves (the basics of shines)
• Close Connection
• Connection Transitions
• Slide
• Coca Cola

Pre-requisite: be able to demonstrate the fundamentals from Level 1 and/or pass Evaluation. All evaluations happen 10 min before the Level 1 class. Please, come see the instructor.
No partner necessary, of course. We rotate partners throughout the class.
