Alfriston, Alciston & Berwick church circular, 7miles

A 7 mile, moderately paced circular walk starting from Alfriston, via the South Downs Way and Vanguard way. 880 ft ascent in total, almost all of it in the first half, so fairly steep, so we'll take it steady. Fabulous views over the Downs, and possibly visits to the churches, services permitting. We'll stop for a 20 minute break just before halfway (at the highest point of the route) so please bring any drinks and snacks that you require for the walk. Parking is on North Road and The Furlongs, and we'll be starting from North Road near the school.
There are nice loos at the start, and at the end of the walk we've several choices of cafés, and the village shop also sells refreshments and has a great deli.

This is a members only event.
Unfortunately this is not a suitable walk for dogs.
