Pett Level circular walk via Fairlight, 6.3 miles
Details
A 6.3 mile, moderately paced circular walk starting from Pett Level, up along the coast via the Firehills to the Bale House visitor centre and then to Gatehurst Farm before our return. Great coastal and countryside views. Fairly hilly at 780ft ascent in total, most of it in the first half.
I'll be doing a recce in the next week so will let you know if the loos at the start of the walk are still open.
Please bring any drinks or snacks you require for the walk as we'll be taking a short break on reaching the Country park, then a further stop for the loos at the Bale House visitor centre half way round. Depending on how busy they are (service can be slow), and how big our group is, we might stop for coffee.
Possibly a little muddy in places, but this is not a boggy route.
If anyone fancies a drink or snack afterwards, Eaters café overlooking Pett Level beach will be open.
The walk will be cancelled the day before if heavy rain (or snow!) is forecast. (We had nice sunny weather when we walked this a year ago, so fingers crossed for similar!)
Unfortunately this is not a suitable walk for dogs.
Attendees are responsible for their own safety and wellbeing throughout the event. This is a members only event.
