OUR WALK - on Saturday
This is a rare opportunity to combine a summer walk with a visit to the truly beautiful gardens of Wadhurst Park (National Garden scheme).
The current forecast for Saturday is for a dry, partly sunny day, and temperature of 23°C.
The garden entrance fee is £7 - cash or card.
Wadhurst Park aims to be a leading example of sustainable environmental management in the High Weald. They are part of the UK White Stork Project. Check out www.wwww.wadhurstpark.co.uk.
Our walk is 7.4 miles across short-grass pasture fields, through woods and along farm tracks. Our route heads north to Bardown Farm and then west to Buttons, and into Wadhurst Park. After our morning walk, we will allow a couple of hours to explore the magnificent garden of Wadhurst Park and enjoy the ambience. Our return route follows the valley and its streams and passes through Dens Wood along the eastern boundary of Wadhurst Park back to Stonegate Station. There are some stiles.
I've allowed plenty of time so we can have a flexible and relaxing day.
Please message me if you have any questions.
