About us
### What is this group about?
We meet up to talk bikes, ride bikes, and build real camaraderie with people who share the same interest. Yes, we love mountain biking, but we also love exploring our area, checking out unique venues, and actually getting to know each other. This is as much about community as it is about riding.
### Who is this for?
All levels are welcome, with a strong focus on beginners and intermediate riders. If you are new to mountain biking, easing back into it, or just want a fun, low-pressure group, you will fit right in. Advanced riders are welcome too, especially if you enjoy mentoring, sharing trail knowledge, and keeping things inclusive.
### What can you expect?
- Friendly, social meetups with people who share your vibe
- Insight and shared knowledge about local trails and places to ride
- Group rides that are fun, approachable, and not intimidating
- The option to break into subgroups to plan your own rides, or stick with the main group
- Social time before and after rides, because that’s where the real connections happen
### Group rides and activities
We also mix in non-ride social events, because we are a unique group and we like meeting at unique venues. Expect bike shops, breweries, wine tastings, and casual hangouts where bikes might be the topic, but connection is the point.
Upcoming plans include:
- A wine tasting and bike shop visit in Cary, North Carolina
- A relaxed NC State fun run, followed by hanging out with cars, bikes, a beer, or a Coke, and getting to know each other. https://www.trailforks.com/region/lake-raleigh-woods-60565/?utm_source=chatgpt.com
- A laid-back meetup at Fortnight Brewing Company to mingle and unwind
- A San Lee Park adventure, with options for green trails or a short, steep hike up followed by green or intermediate descents. It’s a taste of excitement and confidence-building, not an all-day suffer fest. https://www.trailforks.com/region/sanlee-park/?activitytype=1&z=15.2&lat=35.48096&lon=-79.12495&content=trails,labels,region,poi,directory,polygon,waypoint,nst,routes_featured
