Prague is a city of rich history, culture, and innovation — but how do we make sure it also becomes a model of sustainability for the future? Being sustainable in Prague is not just about the environment; it is also about how society, communities, and the economy adapt to live in balance with the world around us.
At our event, we want to explore what “sustainability” truly means for people living here today.
Some questions we might raise together:

• What does sustainability in Prague look like?
  Is it greener transport, cleaner air, stronger local communities, or something else?
• Do we need new regulations or incentives?
  Should change come from government policies, grassroots initiatives, or market innovation?
• How should a transition be organised?
  What steps can help residents, businesses, and the city move toward a sustainable lifestyle without leaving anyone behind?
• What are the biggest barriers?
  Are the challenges mainly in energy, food systems, transportation, housing, or consumption habits?
• What role does society play?
  How can education, community engagement, and culture support sustainable choices in everyday life?
• What emotions drive change?
  Hope, responsibility, fear, pride — how do feelings shape the way we act on sustainability?

These are just a few starting points. We look forward to hearing your ideas on what sustainability means for Prague, and how we can build a city that thrives both environmentally and socially.

​🌱🌳 ━━━ ABOUT US ━━━ 🌿🍃
​Earth & Society Dialogues is a group aiming to bring together people with interest in discussing issues related to climate change and the coping of societies in the Anthropocene — the current geological age where humans are the biggest driver of geological and ecological change.

​Our events are a healthy discussion forum, open to people from all backgrounds, that aims at providing the time and space for new thoughts to emerge, and ideas to spread.

Each of our meetings has a general theme, however, the discussion is led by the participants themselves. This process starts by the participants suggesting their own topics related to the general theme. After which, people divide into small groups where they get to know each other better and dive deeper into their topics of interest.

You don’t need to be very enthusiastic about sustainability to enjoy this meeting; in fact, many of the participants aren’t. You just need to be open to listen, understand, and communicate with no judgement.
