Echo Lakes Trail (water taxi $25) - moderate

We will meet at Echo Chalet boat dock 9900 Echo Lake Road. There is very limited parking, so please carpool. We will take the water taxi ($25) across Lower and Upper Echo lakes. We shall than hike up towards the edge of the Desolation Wilderness for some beautiful views. We will then take a 3 mile, hike back on the trail along Echo Lakes back to the Chalet. You will have views of both Lower and Upper Echo Lakes, as well as Lake Tahoe. This hike starts at 7300 ft elevation and has a 610 ft elevation gain and is considered moderately challenging.
Always come prepared for the current weather conditions and bring plenty of water.
