SPHINX MEMORIAL TO BOBBIN HEAD LOOP (10KM) MEDIUM-GRADE 3

Starting from Sphinx Memorial, we will begin the steady and sometimes steep descent along the Sphinx track, passing eucalypts and forest ferns, mangroves and sandflats, pretty wattle and banksias, and seasonal wildflowers until we come to Cowan Creek; and follow the Warrimoo track along the creek enjoying the beautiful water views all the way to the Marina. We will continue on here to have a short break at the recreation area, and will follow the Bobbin Head fire trail to come back to the Memorial.

Parking available at Sphinx Memorial. Park entry fee $12 per vehicle. Alternatively, you can leave your car on the street outside the gate and walk in.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT: 9:00am train from Central Station Platform 16, arriving at Turrumurra Station at 9:41am. Then catch Bus 577 Stand D Turrumurra Station at 9:50 am, arriving at Ku-ring-gai Creative Arts High School at 10:04am. Walk 10mins to Sphinx Memorial.

CARPOOLING: Please use comments section to arrange carpooling.

BRING: 2 litres of water, snacks, sun protection, hiking shoes.

NOTE: If you are feeling unwell or unfit please stay home! Limit of 30 people only for safety so please only RSVP if 100% committed to attend! Accumulative NO-SHOW`s and members who display disrespectful or inappropriate behavior will be banned from the group. Members who show up for events inadequately packed with essential supplies will not be allowed to attend the event for their own health and safety.
