East Hills to Riverwood along the Georges River (16km) Easy/Medium-Grade 2

This diverse walk starts from the East Hills train station and follows Henry Lawson Drive to Lambeth Reserve, at the Georges River’s edge. Following the ridge along boardwalks, roads, bridges, beaches, footpaths, lookouts and bush tracks, the walk explores the edge of the river and Salt Pan Creek before finishing the walk at Riverwood train station by 3:00pm.

TRANSPORT: 9:21am train from Central Station Platform 23, arriving at East Hills Station at 9:51am.

BRING: 2 litres of water, hydralyte tablets, snacks, lunch, sun protection, first aid kit, Bushmans Repellant, rain gear, hiking shoes.

NOTE: If you are feeling unwell or unfit please stay home! Limit of 30 people only for safety so please only RSVP if 100% committed to attend! There is no excuse for not updating your RSVP in a timely manner for those on the waitlist to be able to attend. Accumulative NO-SHOW`S and members who display disrespectful or inappropriate behaviour will be banned from the group. Members who show up for events inadequately packed with essential supplies will not be allowed to attend the event for their own health and safety.
