Glenbrook to Red Hands Cave Circuit (12km) Medium-Grade 3
Details
The Red Hands Cave Track walks in the footsteps of the Darug people for thousands of years through remote bushland to one of the best Aboriginal stencil galleries in the Sydney Basin. From Glenbrook station we walk down Bruce Rd to the Visitor Centre (toilets) from where we climb (200M) down the steps to Jellybean Pool, then rock scrambling around Glenbrook Creek to the Causeway following the track along Campfire Creek along axe grinding grooves on the waters edge, steadily climbing through the gully until we reach the sandstone overhang of Red Hands Cave. After lunch we return via the Oaks Track before we descend down Euroka Track, then over the Causeway around to Jellybean Pools (option to swim) with a (200M) climb back up the steps, finishing the walk back at Glenbrook station.
