June is hydrangea season in Japan!
This event combines a relaxed low mountain hike with visits to two famous hydrangea spots in the Sangane area.
Ajisai no Sato is one of the largest hydrangea festival sites in Aichi, with thousands of colorful hydrangeas covering the hillside.
We will also visit Honkoji Temple, often called the “Hydrangea Temple,” known for its beautiful traditional atmosphere and seasonal flowers.

🥾 Hiking Details
• Distance: approx. 9 km
• Difficulty: 3–5 / 10 (Beginner to Intermediate)
• Elevation Gain: approx. 400 m
⚠️ Although it is a low mountain, there are some steep uphill sections.
⏰ Schedule
9:10 — Start hiking from JR Sangane Station
11:20 — Arrive at Sangane Skyline Parking Area
※ If we are lucky, we may be able to watch a Japanese taiko drum performance there.
Lunch break
13:00 — Visit Ajisai no Sato (Hydrangea Festival Area)
Entrance Fee: ¥500
14:00 — Visit Honkoji Temple / “Hydrangea Temple”
Optional Main Hall admission: ¥300
15:00 — Finish at JR Sangane Station

• If the event is cancelled due to rain or other circumstances, updates will be posted on the event page.
• The parking area near Mt. Sangane trailhead is expected to be crowded during the Hydrangea Festival season. Please avoid coming by car if possible, or find parking by yourself
6月は日本のあじさいシーズン！
今回は低山ハイキングと、三ヶ根エリアの有名なあじさいスポットを巡るイベントです。
「あじさいの里」は愛知県内でも有名なあじさい祭り会場で、斜面一面にたくさんの色鮮やかなあじさいが咲きます。
また「あじさい寺」として知られる本光寺も観光予定。季節の花と落ち着いた日本らしい雰囲気を楽しめます。

• 雨天等、諸事情により中止の場合はイベントページでお知らせします。
• 三ヶ根山登山道駐車場は、あじさい祭り開催期間中かなり混雑が予想されます。可能な限り公共交通機関をご利用ください。車で来る場合は、ご自身で駐車場を探してくださいは
