⛰️Mt. Ontake Hiking + Onsen♨️ 御嶽山ハイキング＋温泉

At 3,067 m, Mount Ontake is the second-highest freestanding mountain in Japan.
There are wooden boardwalks around the trailhead area, where we can enjoy the scenery as the autumn colors begin to appear.
After the hike, we plan to stop at a hot spring ♨️
As the travel time is quite long, this will be a full-day event.
※ Depending on what time we finish the hike, we may skip the hot spring.

📢 Club Rules & Organizer Policy

For safety and a positive club atmosphere, members may be denied participation or removed without prior warning or explanation. The club is operated under the organizer’s policies.

⚠️ Examples of Violations

・No-shows or last-minute cancellations
・Unsafe or disruptive behavior
・Failure to follow the organizer’s instructions
・Failure to follow event or club rules
・Negotiating exceptions or special treatment
• Posting members’ photos on social media without permission

⚠️ Participation Requirements (Approval Required)

• You must have participated in at least 2 hiking events with our club
• You must have no history of no-shows or late arrivals
• Participants will be selected by the organizer from the waiting list (not first-come, first-served)
• Anyone who has acted against the organizer’s policies during previous events will not be approved

※ This is an approval-required event. Joining at the location without approval or attempting to change the rules may result in being denied participation in future events or removed from the club.

📌 Event Details

• Maximum participants: 6 people (including the organizer)
• Small-group, approval-required event
• Hiking time: Approx. 6 hours + breaks
• Distance: Approx. 8 km
• Elevation gain/loss: Approx. 900 m
• Difficulty: Intermediate

📋 How to Join (Approval Required)

1. Join the waiting list
2. Wait for a message from the organizer
3. Attend a regular event in advance and pay the deposit
4. After the deposit is confirmed, you will be added to the participant list

💰 Event Fee

• Planning & organization fee: ¥2,000
• Transportation fee: ¥4,000
• Total: ¥6,000

👉 Please pay a 50% deposit (¥3,000) at a regular event in advance
👉 Please pay the remaining ¥3,000 on the day of the event

Cancellation Policy

• Up to 7 days before the event → Full refund
• Cancellation by the participant less than 7 days before the event → The 50% deposit will be charged as a cancellation fee
• No-show / Late arrival at the meeting point → No refund
• Cancellation due to bad weather or by the organizer → Full refund
• Refunds will be given when you attend a regular event

💺 Carpool Seating Policy

• Seat assignments for both the outbound and return trips will be decided by the organizer.
• Requests for specific seats or seat changes cannot be accommodated.
• Complaints regarding seat assignments will not be accepted.
• Participants who cannot accept this policy should refrain from joining the event.

🧳 What to Bring

• At least 2L of water (there are no water sources along the trail)
• Snacks and lunch
• Rainwear
• Gloves
• Trekking poles (optional, but useful when descending)
• Helmet recommended
  Helmet rental is available at the visitor center near the trailhead (approx. ¥2,000)

⚠️ Equipment & Important Information

• This is an approval-required hiking event for intermediate-level hikers
• Participants must have sufficient fitness, hiking experience, and the ability to maintain the group’s pace
• Please be aware of the risk of altitude sickness
• For safety reasons, the route may be changed or we may turn back before reaching the summit

• The event will be canceled in case of heavy rain or severe weather
• We plan to go ahead in cloudy weather or light rain
• The event may be canceled or modified if conditions are considered unsafe

📢 クラブルール・主催者方針

安全管理とクラブの良好な雰囲気を維持するため、事前警告や理由説明なく、参加不可・退会処置とする場合があります。当クラブは主催者の方針により運営されています。

• 当クラブのハイキングイベントに2回以上の参加経験がある方
• ノーショー・遅刻がない方
• 参加者はウェイティングリストの中から主催者が選定します（先着順ではありません）
• 過去のイベント中に主催者の方針に反する行為があった方は承認されません

• このイベントは承認制の中級者向けハイキングです
• 十分な体力・登山経験・ペース維持能力が必要です
• 高山病に気をつけて登りましょう
• 安全上の理由によりルート変更・途中引き返しを行う場合があります

🌧️ 天候について

• 大雨・悪天候の場合は中止します
• 曇りや小雨程度であれば開催予定です
• 危険と判断した場合は中止または内容変更となります
