Details

We will explore the nostalgic streets of Okada, visit the Okada Bamboo Grove and Jiunji Temple, and enjoy a relaxing chat at a café. After that, we will walk to the beautiful Chita Bamboo Grove.

🏘️ Okada Historic Townscape
Okada flourished as a center of Chita cotton production from the Edo period until the late 1950s.
Traditional houses and storehouses with black wooden walls and namako-kabe walls still line the streets today, preserving the atmosphere of the town’s prosperous past.

🎋 Chita Bamboo Grove
A beautiful bamboo grove stretching for about 200 meters, reminiscent of the famous bamboo groves of Arashiyama and Sagano in Kyoto.

The sunlight filtering through the bamboo creates a mystical atmosphere, especially around sunrise and sunset.

ノスタルジックな岡田の古い街並みを散策し、岡田の竹林や慈雲寺を巡ります。途中、カフェでのんびり雑談した後、最後は「ちたの竹林」まで歩きます。

🏘️ 岡田の街並み
岡田地区は、江戸期から昭和30年代まで知多木綿の中心地として繁栄しました。
現在も道沿いには黒板塀やなまこ壁の家、蔵などが残り、かつて栄えた時代の面影を感じることができます。

🎋 ちたの竹林
京都・嵐山や嵯峨野の竹林を彷彿とさせるような、美しい竹林が約200m続いています。
竹林から差し込む光が神秘的な、朝日や夕日の時間帯は特におすすめです。
