LONG HIKING CAOLING SILVER GRASS TAOYUAN VALLEY TO DAXI TRAIL (6-7 HOURS)

Long hiking. I choose the long route from dali station to caoling and taoyuan valley daxi trail. This is not easy hiking! You will climb a lot of stairs, walking on buffalo grassland, and long route walking around 10-15 km. We only have few stops because we have to arrive to daxi station befire dark!
The scenery is beautiful. We will see ocean, mountain, grassland, trees, tiger tablet, river.
At the first we climb up with so many stairs from Dali visitor center until the caoling silver grass.
Then climb up again to Taoyuan valley is around 4 hours with stairs. This season we will see beautiful silver grass and we can see wild buffalo.
09.00-09.30: gathering
09.30-11.23: take train to Dali (local train number 4162) local train shulin to su’ao
We will take train together please wait in the platform and go to number 8-9. You will see our group there.
Platform number will be (look at the board beforee you enter the gate, train number 4162 which platform)
11.23-11.30 : toilet time and briefing
11.30-11.40 : go to Dali visitor
11.40-12.00 : climbing to the restaurant (lunch in the restaurant or you can bring your own lunch)
- the restaurant serves fried rice, noodle, scallion pancake, squid soup, fish ball and juices.
12.00-12.30 : lunch
12.30-13.30 : climbing to caoling silver grass
13.30-13.45 : take a rest
13.45-18.00 : hiking to Taoyuan valley (daxi trail)
For this route we should walk fast befire dark!
So no long rest!
18.00/18.30 : arrive to daxi station
WHAT SHOULD YOU BRING?
1. UV Protection/umbrella/ rain coat
2. Mosquito repellent
3. Warm jacket
4. Easy card (money at least around 200 NTD)
5. Drink 2.5L
6. Snack or lunch
7. Headlamp or light
EXPENSES
1. Local train for one way 94NTDX2
2. Dinner 100-150 (optional)
