WATCHING FIREFLIES AND NIGHT HIKING IN HEIMEI MT XINDIAN

Fireflies season! This is our second time to watch fireflies on this mountain like last year. It will be beautiful and amazing night for hiking.
19.00-19.15: waiting outside mrt station and i can toletare 15 mins for waiting.
19.15 we go!
Night hiking and see fireflies in Heimei trail. We will go up until Heimei summit. From gate to hiking summit is around 40 mins without stop, but we will stop so many times to catch fireflies.
The route
From Xindian mrt station walking to the bridge and entrance trail for 5 mins then climbing up to the summit is around 45 mins- 1 hour. The height is 152 meter. This is the summit peak. We will take a break for 15 minutes here.
Then we will go down to the plaza and turn left to the other way to watch the big area of fireflies. The route is going down. We will be on this path around 30 minutes to hunting fireflies.
Then we will come back to the bridge walking around 30 minutes. During this time, we can see some fireflies on the way back. We will come back to the same entrance. This the loop path.
This is not only watching fireflies but THIS HIKING. Please remind yourself to have good stamina for climbing the stairs!
I suggest you to have dinner first before going or you can have light meal or snack when we will be on the top (but no light).
What shouldd you bring
- Flashlight (infrared is better)
- Mosquitoes repellent
- Drink 1L
- Snacks/dinner (optional)
