Cycling & Picnic @ Larochette Castle (Ruins). 33km, 53km or 71km (Flexible).

What we will do together
1. Cycle from Luxembourg gare (front of Police station) to Larochette castle (about 33km).

2. Have a picnic at Larochette castle (Parking area). Entrance into the castle is optional and it costs 7 Euros for those interested.
Those who wish to do the shortest distance (33km) can take a bus from Larochette back to Luxembourg city.

3. Cycle from Larochette castle to Diekirch (about 20km).
Those who wish to do the middle distance (53km) can take the train from Diekirch back to Luxembourg city.

4. Cycle from Diekirch to Mersch gare (about 18km).

If we maintain an average speed of about 18km/hour and have a total stop time of 90 minutes (including 1 hour picnic at Larochette), we can finish the ride in 5 hours and 30 minutes.

There are frequent trains and buses going to Luxembourg city and other directions.

What to bring
1. Your bike in tip top condition (all bike types are welcome).
2. Energy snacks.
3. Lots of fluids to stay hydrated.
4. Packed food for the picnic.

If you decide to participate in this event, you are responsible for your own property and health. This distance (71km) requires high exercise tolerance/endurance/fitness.

The organizer will NOT BE RESPONSIBLE for damages to the property or the health (including cycling injuries) of the participants.
The organizer will be responsible for navigating the cycle route from the start point to the finish point.

The terrain is 97% tarmac (paved). 42km of which is cycle ways.
