Eat & Greet Durham is a welcoming community that brings people together through a shared love of food and good company. We explore local restaurants, cafés, and hidden gems across the Durham Region.

Whether you’re a foodie, or simply someone who enjoys trying new places with friends, this is the group for you. Great eats, relaxed gatherings, and discovering Durham’s best cuisine together.

Membership & Event Fees
Meetup charges organizers to host groups on their platform. To help cover these costs and keep this community running smoothly the following will apply:
·        $5 membership fee (non refundable). Please etransfer within 48 hours of group acceptance to [eatandgreetdurham@gmail.com](mailto:eatandgreetdurham@gmail.com)
·        $5 per event fee (non refundable). Please etransfer to eatandgreetdurham@gmail.com
This helps reduce no shows and supports event planning. Coffee meetups are excluded.
Any fees collected will be used to sustain the group and future events.

Participation Guidelines
To keep our group friendly, enjoyable, and safe for everyone, please note the following:
·        We require a current profile picture showing your face
·        Members must attend at least one event within their first six (6) months of membership
·  Three (3) no shows, or cancellations (under 24 hours), will result in removal from the group
·        Please message the organizer if you are running late
·        All members must complete a short questionnaire upon joining
·        Please be respectful of fellow members
·        Remember that organizers volunteer their time to make the events possible
·        We have a zero-tolerance policy for disrespectful or harmful behaviour
·        Please be advised that this group is strictly a safe space for friendship and social interaction. It is not intended as a dating site.
