May 2025 Vegan Potluck Picnic in the Park - Lincoln Park

Hey everyone! It's time to start back up with our summer potlucks! Let's get outside and enjoy the unofficial start to SUMMER together with some delicious vegan food!

We'll meet at the south side of Lincoln Park in our usual spot in the shade on the large patch of grass at the very eastern most end of North Avenue. Look for the green Eatin' Vegan lawn signs to locate us.

Here are the details, same as always - and please read all the way to the bottom:

Feel free to bring a homemade or store-bought vegan appetizer, dish, or dessert to share. If you’d prefer not to share, that’s completely fine too. If you make your dish to share, please bring along an ingredients list for display so others know what's in it. Also, make sure to bring serving utensils if your dish needs them. I’ll bring some extra items like eating utensils, napkins, cups, and paper plates. To reduce waste, please consider bringing your own reusable utensils, cup, and containers to eat with throughout the picnic.

When you leave the event, please either discard, give away, or bring everything you brought back with you. I kindly ask that you do not leave anything you bring. There ends up being a lot left behind at the end and it creates a lot of extra work for myself and for those who stay and graciously help me clean up at the end of the picnic. Please be considerate and take back what you bring. There are trash cans throughout the park, but just in case, please plan to take whatever you bring back with you in case the trash cans are full or not accessible. I will bring a box for composting food scraps, please look for it and add to it as needed.

If anyone has an easy folding table or two, blankets, or lawn chairs, and they're willing to bring them to share, that would be very helpful. Also, feel free to bring cards or some games that are suitable for outdoors.
