SAN GABRIEL - Chinese Food Truck Crawl at SF Supermarket Plaza, Part 2

Details

IMPORTANT NOTE: DUE TO TOO MANY LAST-MINUTE RSVP CANCELLATIONS RECENTLY: ANYONE WHO CANCELS WITH LESS THAN 48-HOUR NOTICE, OR ARRIVES MORE THAN 15 MINUTES LATE WILL BE PLACED ON A 2-MONTH PROBATION AND WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ATTEND ANY EVENTS DURING THAT PROBATIONARY PERIOD. NO-SHOWS WILL BE EJECTED FROM THE GROUP (IF YOU NO SHOW TO YOUR FIRST EVENT WITH THE GROUP, YOU WILL BE BANNED FROM THE GROUP).

Well, last weekend we were only able to hit 3 of the 6 food trucks that were parked along San Gabriel Blvd. This time, we will sample food from 3 to 4 food trucks that will be parked along Valley Blvd.

The Chinese food trucks sell food from Xinjiang to Shaanxi Regions in Northern China, from skewers, hand-pulled noodles, and much much more, including one food truck known for selling snail noodle soup.

EVENT INFORMATION:
• Please arrive a few minutes before 6:30 pm. Park along the Valley Blvd. side. Then head over and meet the group in front of Guilin Rice Noodles pictured below. We will set up a foldable table and chairs, then order food from the truck and bring it back to the tables for the group to share and taste.
• Family-Style Dining: Dining for this event has been designated as Family-Style. The food bill will be split evenly among all attendees. Attendees will be responsible for paying for their beverages. Please note that flexibility is an important part of family-style dining, and if you want to take a chance to attend, you have to be amenable to what the group/AO will order. You don't have to eat everything that is ordered, but everyone pays equally, whether you eat everything or not. Most of the dishes we order will be at least moderately spicy. If this definition of Family-Style Dining doesn't feel comfortable, this may not be the right type of event for you. In addition, if you have ANY dietary restrictions or ingredients you do not wish to consume, then you may want to skip this event. Ordering dishes modified to fit someone's dietary needs or personal tastes will alter the true flavors of those dishes for the rest of the group.
• Cost per person is expected to be about $30.00 or more, plus tax and gratuity. Please pay by cash, Zelle or Venmo (sktoy67@gmail.com).
• Free 2-hour Parking
